MdHS Press Titles

The Maryland Historical Society publishes a quarterly journal and selected books. MdHS publications bring into print the freshest and brightest new research on Maryland’s past. Historians at all stages of their careers are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. The society’s editor, with the MdHS Publications Committee, a voluntary advisory board, selects materials for publications.

The society publishes books that bring forth rich episodes of Maryland’s history in a readable style that engages both scholarly and general audiences. More than 100 MdHS titles are included in the Library of Congress catalog.

In addition, the highly acclaimed Maryland Historical Magazine, now in its 112th consecutive year of publication, is a peer-reviewed journal with one of the largest readerships among state historical society journals.
