MdHS Press Titles

Maryland Historical Society publications bring into print the freshest and brightest new research on Maryland’s past. We publish books that bring forth rich episodes of Maryland’s history in a readable style that engages both scholarly and general audiences.

The highly acclaimed Maryland Historical Magazine, now in its 105th consecutive year of publication, is a peer-reviewed quarterly with one of the largest readerships among state historical society journals.

Historians at all stages of their careers are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. Materials are selected for publication by the Editor-in-Chief and the MdHS Publications Committee, a voluntary advisory board.

If you would like to submit your work for consideration, please email Patricia Anderson, Director of Publications, at or call 410-685-3750 ext. 317.
